Mail Filtering Help

Description:

The Christian-Net services above come with EMail Filtering. The email filter scans incoming messages on your cnonline.net email addresses for viruses and spam. Any messages that are blocked are saved in a Spam Quarantine. You can control the strength of the mail filter and access the quarantine from the Webmail area of the myHome page.

 

Accessing The Mail Filter Settings:

  1. Click here to access the Webmail: http://www.cnonline.net/webmail.asp, or sign-in from the myHome page.
  2. Log-in with your email address and password.
  3. Click Options from the top menu.
  4. Click Mail Filter Settings.
  5. If you have subscribed to the mail filter, you will be able to see your mail filter settings.

 

Reviewing & Releasing Quarantined Messages

  1. Click here to access the Webmail: http://www.cnonline.net/webmail.asp, or sign-in from the myHome page.
  2. Log-in with your email address and password.
  3. Click Quarantine from the top menu.
  4. Any blocked messages will appear in the list. To release a message, or several messages, follow these instructions:
    1. Place a check mark next to each message that you would like to release.
    2. Choose Release from the drop-down menu at the top. If you would like to make sure these senders aren't blocked in the future, choose the Release + Add To Whitelist option from the list instead.
    3. Press Submit.
  5. The messages you released should now be available from your Inbox.

 

Blocking & Allowing Certain Senders

  1. Access the Mail Filter Settings using the instructions above.
  2. Type the address you want to block or allow in the Address box.
  3. Under Type select Always Allow or Always Block, depending on the action you want the filter to take.
  4. Click Add New Address

 

Accepting Mail Only From Approved Senders

If you would like to block all messages, except those written by senders that you've added to your Always Allow list, follow these instructions.

  1. Access the Mail Filter Settings using the instructions above.
  2. In the Choose your spam filter level area, click Allowed Senders Only
  3. Follow the instructions in "Blocking & Allowing Certain Senders" to make a list of senders you want to receive mail from.
